Construction is progressing at a strong pace at Cypress Creek Golf Course at Riviére du Chien Park in Mobile County, Alabama. This $13.7 million investment represents a major milestone for public golf in the region and reflects Mobile County’s commitment to enhancing recreational amenities for its residents.
Designed by U.S. Open champion and acclaimed golf course architect Jerry Pate, the new course is being built to deliver a strategic and memorable playing experience, harmonizing modern design principles with the site’s natural terrain and wooded character.

Mid-America Golf is leading construction efforts on this high-profile municipal project, and they are proud to be working alongside a talented group of partners.
Feature shaping across the course is nearing completion, and both key mechanical systems—drainage and irrigation—are approximately 60% installed.
For the irrigation system, we’ve teamed with HUNTER Industries, PPS Pump Stations, and SiteOne Landscape Supply to furnish and install a high-performance, water-efficient solution that will ensure excellent turf conditions throughout the property. These systems are being integrated seamlessly into the construction process to maintain schedule momentum and minimize rework during later phases.

Looking ahead, the team is preparing for the next major milestone: grassing operations. With favorable weather and continued progress, we anticipate beginning turf establishment in the coming months and staying on track for a full course completion in 2025.
