It’s Friday, and it’s time to introduce another of our exceptional Precision Pumping System employees! This week’s employee spotlight features Ahmad Hassan from the PPS inventory Management Department.
In a few sentences, tell me a little bit about yourself.
Retired US Coast Guard First Class Storekeeper (Logistics Specialist) after twenty years of service. I was originally born and raised in North Carolina, but moved around quite a bit to include the military. My family has five children ranging from 26 to 8 years of age and my wife is also retiring from active duty after twenty years in the US Coast Guard.
What roles have you been in, and what is your current role today?
Inventory Specialist has been my only role here at PPS.
What is your favorite thing about working for PPS?
Everyone is willing to help and teach each other.
What are your hobbies/interests – what do you like to do in your spare time?
Fishing, hiking in the Pacific Northwest, camping, and watching my kids grow.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
Have people truly see each other, to know that we are all going in the same direction and that helping someone never seems like a cheat or a hindrance.
What’s the best advice you could give to a new hire in the company?
Absorb the information as it comes to you, take time and care in each thing you do and no matter how large or small the task, it is important to all of us.
What is your favorite saying or quote?
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
What is your number one bucket list item?
To complete my private pilot training and get rated for float plane for more outdoor adventures.
