It’s time to highlight another one of our outstanding PPS employees! This week’s employee spotlight features Amanda Rodriguez!
In a few sentences, tell me a little bit about yourself.
I have been married for 13 years now, and we’re blessed with 6 kids and a grandson. I recently moved here 3 years ago, and I absolutely love cooking for my friends and family. I’m always trying out new recipes, and it’s so much fun to share my creations with others!
What roles have you been in, and what is your current role today?
Housekeeping, which I still currently do.
What is your favorite thing about working for PPS?
What I love about working for PPS is the family-oriented atmosphere and how supportive everyone is of each other. I also cherish the warm good mornings and the delightful breakfasts we share.
What are your hobbies/interests – what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I absolutely adore spending quality moments with my family and friends. I’m a firm believer that the more, the merrier. Exploring the city and the surrounding states is a passion of mine, and Idaho has some breathtaking sights that I’ve been fortunate to travel to. Traveling is something I live for; it enriches my life with new experiences and memories.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
It would be the ability to fly. The idea of soaring through the skies, unencumbered by earthly limitations, thrills me. Flying would allow me to explore the world from a unique perspective.
What’s the best advice you could give to a new hire in the company?
Be willing to adapt to changes because every day is a new day, and you learn something new every day. Embrace the unexpected and view challenges as opportunities for growth. Flexibility and a positive attitude will not only make your work experience more enjoyable but also help you flourish in your role.
What is your favorite saying or quote?
“Treat others how you want to be treated.” It serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy and respect in our daily lives.
What is your number one bucket list item?
Skydiving with my family!
