As we wrap up another week at PPS, we’d like to take a moment to honor another employee with our Employee Spotlight feature! This week’s employee spotlight is on Eric Peterson, the Inside Sales Manager for our Precision Automation Systems division.
In a few sentences, tell me a little bit about yourself.
I am an outdoor enthusiast. My favorite outdoor activity is called “peak bagging.” The best way for me to describe it would be gamified hiking, where the destination is generally a mountaintop or other prominent location.
What roles have you been in, and what is your current role today?
I started off as the runner back in January of 2019. I am currently the 2nd most tenured person at PAS. Inside Sales is my primary role, but through the years, I have done a little bit of everything, and now I spend a lot of my time training new hires.
What is your favorite thing about working for PPS?
The people. From the ownership team to the newest hires, the people here have always felt more like family. We work hard and achieve great things together, and it never gets old.
What are your hobbies/interests – what do you like to do in your spare time?
Hiking, concerts, video games, traveling.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal others.
What’s the best advice you could give to a new hire in the company?
Listen to the advice of others, work hard, let people know what you are interested in, and pursue opportunities to learn more. The company has done nothing but grow year after year for as long as I have been here. Go the extra mile and reap the rewards!

What is your number one bucket list item?
I would like to see Rome or Athens someday. I have always wanted to experience ancient Greek or Roman ruins in the first person.
