Crenshaw 800 Irrigation Project

This Vertical Turbine pump station is located in a semi-buried vault enclosure utilizes lake water mixed with treated effluent water to provide irrigation to a subdivision development of over 40,000 residents that is continuing to expand. It delivers 5000 GPM @ 100 PSI and has been in successful operation since 2014.

Location: Crenshaw Subdivision

Flow Rate: Up To 5000 GPM

Boost Pressure: 100 PSI

Pumps: System includes vertical turbine pumps delivering up to 5000 GPM at 100 PSI.

Customer Challenge: The foremost challenge was to replace an existing system in an existing vault enclosure with very limited space and difficult connection points that required custom design and configuration for perfect adaptation. Add to that that the new system had to include a triplex filter system not included in the original system but still reside in the already limited space semi buried vault enclosure. Finally, the water was extremely corrosive requiring specialized parts and equipment. Heavy duty corrosive resistant coatings were also required.  The collaborative design and custom engineering between PPS and with the project engineer took over a year accomplish.

This pump station resides in a semi-buried vault style enclosure that was constructed by the customer for a previous pump system that was replaced by PPS.
