Village Walk North & South Irrigation Project

This project includes two identical suction lift pump stations that were engineered to replace previous pump stations that were requiring constant maintenance. Both of these replacement stations also needed to be totally enclosed for aesthetics and have the most compact footprint possible. They were craned in during install to avoid any damage to the existing trees and shrubbery.

Flow Rate: Up To 800 GPM

Boost Pressure: 80 PSI

Pumps: Each station includes two 25 HP End-Suction Centrifugal Pumps

Customer Challenge: The customer needed to replace two irrigation pump stations that were original to the property and currently requiring constant maintenance. The customer requested the replacements be totally enclosed for aesthetics; this required a custom design to ensure all existing pipe & electrical connections were correct. The compact footprint also helped installation as the station had to craned in due to the growth of the trees and shrubbery that were requested to be untouched.

Project Features & Benefits: The system is built with corrosion resistance in mind, skid base and piping are hot dipped galvanized, pump station enclosure is marine grade aluminum and dual VFDs are located in the electrical enclosure which is Stainless Steel NEMA 4X and kept cool by a NEMA 4X closed loop air conditioner. Each station also features dual automatic priming systems, which was a big feature for the operators.

Additional Information: Scheduling was critical on this project; the goal was to replace both pump stations to minimize irrigation down time. The stations were delivered together and on schedule which allowed the installation to be completed within a couple of days.
