Precision Pumping Systems recently completed a potable water booster station for the Town of Woodsboro, designed to support both domestic demand and high-flow conditions while replacing an aging, problematic system.

Customer Challenge:

The replacement system had to be designed to fit through an existing 60” doorway and connect to existing intake and discharge piping, all while minimizing disruption to the community’s water service.

System Highlights:

Design Point 1: 310 GPM @ 52 PSI Boost
Design Point 2: 905 GPM @ 48 PSI Boost

Pump Configuration

Duty Pumps: Vertical Multistage – 10 HP
High Flow Pump: End Suction Centrifugal – 30 HP

Solution:

The new station was engineered to integrate seamlessly with the existing facility while significantly improving reliability and performance.

Because the old station had to be taken out of service during installation, speed and precision were critical. PPS engineered the system for rapid installation and startup, allowing water delivery to be restored to Woodsboro residents in record time.

Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful engineering and packaged pump station design can modernize infrastructure while working within the constraints of existing facilities.
